The US rule
Daylight saving time begins on the second Sunday in March and ends on the first Sunday in November, at 2:00 a.m. local time.
Who does not change clocks
- Hawaii
- Most of Arizona (the Navajo Nation does observe DST)
- Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, American Samoa and the Northern Mariana Islands
Europe
In the EU and the UK, clocks change at 1:00 a.m. UTC on the last Sunday of March and the last Sunday of October, so for a few weeks each year the gap between the US and Europe is one hour smaller than usual.
